Chris Seymour is Regional Director for Middle East and South Asia leading Market Strategy and Infrastructure Development at Mott MacDonald. Chris has more than 25 years of experience in project and commercial management, with a sepcialism in PFI/PPP, procurement, project funding and risk management. His experience also extends to commercial development, master planning, development and asset management. Chris also co-chairs the Middle East Council for Offices, together with the Market Advisory panel for the RICS and is a frequent speaker at industry events and in the media.
Mr. Saeed is one of the top development directors with significant experience in assets management of major organizations in Dubai. Mr. Saeed holds a very critical position in the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) as the director of Asset Management department, the department responsible for managing all the assets of one of the biggest transport authorities in the world. Mr Saeed serves as deputy chairman of RTA BIM committee & led the strategic transformation project of RTA Corporate BIM framework in planning for RTA to be the first transport authority in the Middle East to be fully utilizing BIM within its processes & assets.

Google recently announced a partnership with the virtual reality specialist HTC in a billion dollar deal. Overlaying the digital world to the real world using smart devices is now easier than ever. Charles will demonstrate a novel way to engage BIM collaborators using augmented reality and smart devices. Pivoting a data rich spatial model, augmented reality helps designers visual the developing data set, supports clients to garner investment and helps tenderers understand complex spatial relationships. AECOM Middle East prototyped a subsurface utility locator for the Expo Village project and Charles will demonstrate on stage how augmented reality reduces construction risk for all stakeholders.

With extensive experience in construction information management and collaborate technologies to deliver iconic projects within a fully digital engineering environment.
Dayesh – B.E.(Hons.) Civil & M.Sc(Hons.) Economics is Director at Techture and has been spearheading lifecycle BIM execution on various projects across Dubai, Singapore and India. He has been working with several government agencies to develop effective BIM implementation strategies and has led the delivery of BIM for various commercial and hospitality projects in the UAE. He has keen interest in the field of BIM for Infrastructure and is leading the BIM delivery for 2 smart city projects in India having a combined area of more than 1000 hectares.
He believes that the benefit of BIM is directly proportional to the extent and understanding of BIM among all stakeholders and is working collaboratively with various contractors to ensure that BIM does not remain effective only at the design stage but is utilised at the execution and facility management stage also.
For more than a decade, Djordje is the Design Manager of City Diamond Contracting in Dubai. He began his Middle East life as the Technical Services Manager of AWATCO Graphisoft Middle East Centre, and worked as Chief Architect of Lootah Group.
He has Masters in Architectural Engineering from the Faculty of Architecture, Belgrade University, Serbia. He has worked in seven countries on three continents, for over a quarter of a century. For most of his professional career, the main tools were the computers, starting with CAD systems in 1989, and discovering the power of the Virtual Building - today better known as BIM - in 1995. You can safely say that he has BIM there, and done that.
Etienne is a Senior BIM Consultant at Turner & Townsend, within the UAE Technology Division.
He is a qualified Engineer with over 10 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. Etienne has led the development, deployment and governance of BIM in line with the UK Government Level 2 framework on projects totalling £250m, across private and public sectors.
More recently, his experience includes leading the delivery of BIM on major projects within the UAE, including the Expo 2020 Thematic Districts Project. His specialist skills range from collaborative information model management to strategic BIM implementation, validation and controls. His wider focus is to lead the implementation of cultural, behavioural and process changes required to deliver better outcomes to his clients as the construction industry becomes ever more digitised.
Nicky works as a chartered quantity surveyor (MRICS) for C-Quest, a division of KEO International Consultants; he has a Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, a Bachelor’s Degree in Commercial Management and is studying towards an LLM in Construction Law and Arbitration.
He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (FCIArb), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB), a member of CIOB’s Business Development Board and a member if CIOB’s Dubai Hub, supporting the Special Interest Group for Digital Technologies in Construction.. Nicky is also one of the few RICS Certified BIM Managers and one of the many PMI Certified Project Management Professionals (PMP).
Nicky started his journey into BIM in 2009 in Ireland, where he assisted practices, universities and NGOs in the adoption of electronic estimating systems, training over 350 students and professionals in the review and quantification of BIM designs. He is one of the founders of Q-BIM, a platform for the development of BIM in Qatar and beyond, by promoting opportunities to support, connect and grow BIM, through lobbying, mentoring, networking, strategic alliances, and developing industry standards.
Now based in Dubai, Nicky is working on a number of public and private projects spread across the MENA region, including work on a number of stadia for the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup, Dubai Creek Harbour, Expo 2020 Expo Village to name a few.
Nithin is an engineering professional with over 10 years of experience in Middle East construction Industry. He has completed his MSc in Construction Project Management from Heriot Watt University. He has over 6 peer reviewed publications and his field of interest for research includes BIM, Lean Construction and IPD Projects. He is currently working for Shapoorji Pallonji as a BIM Manager. He is currently responsible for delivery of BIM projects in U.A.E, Oman and Malta.
Nour Kassassir is the Vice President and Business Technology Services Director for Parsons in MEA. Nour focuses primarily on the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, is responsible for all ICT planning, design, execution and operations for all of Parsons employees across the MEA Region. As Head of Consulting Services, Suhail Arfath is responsible for developing and delivering “Future of Making – Infrastructure” vision, roadmap, and solutions for Architectural, Engineering, and Construction – AEC firms and Owners, Developers and Agencies.
Suhail has been involved in evangelizing the technology solutions such as Building Information Modeling – BIM since early days and shares the goal of enabling the full promise of BIM by simplifying its methods and developing new education mechanisms.
Since joining Autodesk in 2004, Suhail has been instrumental in spreading and sharing the knowledge of BIM & IPD in several countries. As guest faculty, he has delivered several sessions on BIM and other technologies at many Architecture schools and Engineering colleges encouraging the young professionals to use technologies and be competent in their respective industries. Prior to joining Autodesk family, Suhail has also served as chief technology officer (CTO) of Eigen – a Liang O’ Rourke Company, responsible for the technology and BIM transformation.
As a qualified Architect and Urban Designer, Vivek Kale practiced four years of Urban Design in Middle East with Parsons HBA, including “Structure Plan for Dubai Emirate – 2012” for the Dubai Municipality, before joining Bentley Systems in 1998. He was the founder member of the regional MicroStation User Group, and a technology enthusiast for the ‘built environment’ for the past 17 years. He has been evangelizing Bentley’s BIM (Building Information Modeling) applications for 10 years. Now working from Dubai and covering the region, his responsibilities include educating, proposing and deploying Bentley solutions that add values to Designers, consultants Contractors and Owner operators.
Zimbabwean Andrew has been an integral part of the GAJ team having joined the company in 2004. He was educated in both the UK and South Africa having earned a BSc (Architecture) at the University College in London and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa
Known as the godfather of BIM in the region Andrew has been championing the BIM cause for more than ten years and has delivered a number of informative talks on the subject at numerous BIM conferences worldwide.
Andrew is a valuable mentor to the technical team at GAJ and is responsible for coordinating overall BIM activities in the practice. He has been involved in a wide range of projects from commercial developments, including the Harare International Airport in Zimbabwe, to hotels and resorts across the Middle East and, more recently, Saraya Bandar Jissah masterplan in Oman and the GEMS Metropole School in Dubai.
Scott Coombes is a Director at AESG, a firm who specialise in reducing the ecological footprint of the built environment. As a resident of the UAE for 27 years, Scott has developed a strong passion for the sustainable development of the region’s built environment.
Scott holds an honors degree in Architecture from the University of Nottingham and is a subject matter expert on sustainable building design and construction. He was among the first Estidama PQP’s in 2011, he is a GSAS certified professional and is accredited under the British Institute of Non Destructive Testing for Envelope Verification.
Scott has been involved in managing and directing a variety of sustainability, energy, commissioning, environmental and government advisory projects throughout the Middle East. These have included some of the largest and most prestigious master plan developments in the region, high-rise buildings, housing developments and critical infrastructure.
For the past 6 years, Scott has been at the forefront of AESG’s growth into one of the regions leading specialist consultancies, which has influenced the design and construction of hundreds of the region’s most noteworthy projects. Since establishment, the firm has developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality consultancy services and was awarded the Middle East specialist consultancy of the year in 2015.
As well as his role at AESG, Scott is currently vice-chairman of the American University in Dubai (AUD) Advisory Board under the school of Architecture, Art and Design. Scott often provides guest lectures and participates as a juror to the final year students.
Mansour is the Engineering Director of China State construction Middle East, he has 15 years of Construction experience and construction related academic research, mostly work with international contactors like Samsung C&T and currently with China State Construction. With a portfolio of involvement in over 160 Mega projects across the MENA region between Executions, Technical support & Technical proposal development during tender stage.

Mr Alejandro Silva is currently the BIM Manager at NAGA, with over 20 years of experience in business. Alejandro’s main focus in the last 10 years has been researching and investigating current standards and utilization of BIM in the architecture profession and construction industry.
He has good knowledge in the BIM process along with the design process, conceptual master planning, and conceptual presentation with the combination of multiple Building Information Modelling tools alongside creative suites programs. In addition, he has also unified his creative expressions in photography, graphic design and music into an all-encompassing passion: Painting. This multidisciplinary approach has allowed to him to draw from a variety of different areas to create bold new forms in action painting.
Azzam is a design professional with a Master's degree in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He's been working abroad in Dubai since 2012, first as an Architectural Designer with DuBox, an Amana Group Company, and since 2014 as a Design Architect/BIM Coordinator with Naga Architects, a renowned multidisciplinary design consultancy. In addition to having a strong design background, he's also competent in Building Information Modelling systems, technologies, workflows, and principles.
As a LEED Green Associate and Associate member of the AIA, Azzam is also on track with the NCARB to becoming a Registered Architect in the United States.
During his education at Georgia Tech, he studied in Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain.
Wajdi Mereb is a degree-qualified architectural engineer with primary professional experience in asset management and building information modelling (BIM) practices. His professional career extends through market-leading organizations and blue-chip contractors. Currently he is leading the BIM Implementation in Roads & Transport Authority- Dubai, as a BIM Projects Manager and deputy manager of Assets Performance Development section.
Over his career, Mereb has worked through all phases of project delivery, from design to construction to facility management and operations, working with ends of the 'fence' – clients, contractors, and consultants. He has operated on a wide array of projects, varying in size and scope, including: rail transport, airports, residential complex resorts, multi-use commercial towers, hotels, schools, and hospitals.
Mereb holds a Bachelor of Science degree in architectural engineering from Birzeit University, Palestine as well as a Master of Science in engineering management in An-Najah National University, Palestine, and a Master of Science in management from the University of Sheffield, U.K.
With overall involvement in the construction industry, Samer Abu Daqqa has developed a wealth of experience in all sectors, mainly in Cost Control and Budgeting. Through his many years in the region, Samer has become proficient in diverse projects ranging from low rise housing schemes and major high rise towers.
After about 2 decades working in this field, Samer built and enhanced the cost control system by ensuring that it has efficient, effective and reliable methods and cost control practices in line with internationally recognized standards. He knows what truly demands conversions and the progress to be involved in numerous projects with challenging targets.
